Two Types of Women (…and Men)

Even after flying to different countries for women — if I find something that intrigues me, I’m very persistent — I realized that women can, when looking as generally as possible, be placed into two categories. The first, women who suck the drive for life — and everything else of any value — right out of you.

And, more importantly, the second, women who not only make you want a better life, but make you believe that a better life is actually possible.

Every single woman in the world falls into one of these two categories — no exceptions. However, a woman who falls into a certain category for one individual can fall into the other for someone else — our types are personal after all.

december christmas blues

December. Christmas blues. Heheh.

A few days, or maybe weeks, ago; a Facebook post from a secularist acquaintance: “The best of religion is when you love your religion like a hobby, where you look forward to going to Church on Sunday and love singing the hymns etc.,…” (I’m paraphrasing here, of course.)

If one was being paranoid and ungenerous a theist might perceive the former as a jab, saying that you don’t really love going to Church therefore yadda-yadda-yadda….

…But y’know something, I do love going to church some times. I love the singing. Maybe I don’t dedicate enough of my free time and I’ve been flaking my extra-Sunday responsibilities and I’ve been disappointing my church buddies etc.,etc.,… but still…

It’s like, why is it a dichotomy? Why is it that when you’re a Humanist you can’t be a Theist because being both at the same time is to be a flake or a phony or some other even worse label?

But meh. Whatever. I owe no one an explanation. Jesus is my friend and I don’t need to explain myself to anyone; to any person. My friends doesn’t need an explanation, and my enemies won’t believe me anyway.

—-

Because I don’t find my peace in atheism. I find my peace in communion with Christ.

Even when people label me un-Christian. Whether the person is theist or a-theist or anti-theist.

I find my peace with Christ.

Washing the dishes. First thing in the morning. Before I go to my laptop upstairs to earn my pay for the day…

Social media tends to give an incomplete snapshot of life, a mere sketch… Like yeah, I mean if you want the whole picture we gotta like chat face-to-face, right? But even then a face-to-face might not leave a complete impression anyway, leaving a sketch no clearer than social media.

A chat… kinda like an interrogation lol xD

“It’s called work and you should hate it” is such a big, big lie.

“It’s called work and you should hate it” is such a big, big lie.

It is very possible to love what you’re doing for a living right now; you just have to remember why you wanted to do this in the first place, and you need to stop comparing to other people.

…and if you want to aspire to something, aspire to a better version of your own self, don’t aspire to be someone else. And it is not wrong and not stupid to attach your identity to your work. Hell, loving your work will make you love doing it and love being better at it.

So yeah: anybody that tells you that you suck ass, they suck ass. You love your work. And you’ll get better at it.

Also stop constantly second-guessing yourself. Listen to input yes definitely, but only one person can have any hope of having the complete & holistic understanding of your situation, and that person is your own self.

Intensity doesn’t have to be the enemy. Timidness doesn’t always have to be your friend.

I am alive. And I am progressing.

Predictive Keyboard Word Game

Here’s a fun game from Aulia Masna:

For all of you who use predictive keyboards on your phones or tablets, here’s a game. Type a word, any word, and then continue selecting the suggested word on the right most side of the screen until you end up with 30 words.

Why are people in this country to get my money and time consuming but it doesn’t even work and then the first place I have no clue who I was.

And the following, my three attempts:

Attempt 1: “I have been working in an effort into my head in my phone to get it right I will work for the Facebook group is the way you want a.”

Attempt 2: “Beltway I will work for the Facebook group is the way I see it on a 6am deadline to get to see the place of business in China is not.”

Attempt 3: “Supaya bisa lebih cepat dari yang kamu lakukan jika bertemu di dalam hatiku dan tidak mudah menyerah untuk hari itu akan datang dan berlalu begitu juga aku mau cari.”

hiding | knowledge

We have developed a particular skill, us Indonesian workers….

We have learned to intimately hide our incidental special knowledges.

We hide our special knowledge, in order that we not be given responsibility beyond that which we can controllably predict our 100% certain compliance & success. For example, some of us would pretend to be unable to grasp the “basic concepts” that would enable us to set-up our own email in our BlackBerry or Android smartphone, in order that Management would not have 24/7 access to us and give us standing orders to be executed on weekdays weekends. Because given that flexibility, Management WILL exploit that flexibility.

And thus we hide the flexibility, to concerve our very real and undeniably limited mental energy…

(I’m sure that if you’re reading this and have understood so far, that you’ll be able to easily imagine many, many other workplace & professional scenarios like this.)

Happiness is a choice, yes.

Happiness is a choice, yes.

And so is perseverance.
Courage. Caution.
To hang on through or to move on.
To absorb and/or to focus.
To skepticize and/or to believe.

To be yourself and/or what the World wants you to be.

They’re all choices. And anyone can say any or even all of them are valid. And ultimately only you and God would have any hope of knowing what is exactly right just for you.

So be happy. Yes definitely be happy. You have every right to be. We all do.

getting ants out of my laptop

It’s kind of hard to see but those are ants moving out from my laptop, spurred using this water-pan-plus-wooden-stick method: http://t.co/0GMVnCFY6u

…so now you know what to do if ever suddenly you found some ants deciding to colonize your laptop :))

Update 1: Hmm, seems cross-posting a video from Path (for Android) to WordPress, doesn’t carry over the actual video to WordPress… :-/ Oh well…

Update 2: Cross-posted to YouTube :D

No, Google+ hasn’t become Pinterest (developing)

“No, Google+ hasn’t become Pinterest” (originally posted as a Google+ share) — Some time ago someone quipped that Google+ now sucks because it has become Pinterest, being a Google+ bigot I of course objected but I couldn’t quite pin down (pardon the pun) how I would logically object.

I think I’ve figured it out now.

Interaction in Pinterest sucks. Sure you’ve got the heart, repins and comments etc., but it doesn’t really help me (the pinner) connect with the interactee (those who +1’ed, commented, or reshare), or at least not very efficiently.

Here in Google+, actual discussions & interactions sparked by an image or .gif, actually happens!

Or something. I dunno. Continue reading “No, Google+ hasn’t become Pinterest (developing)”
