Today I learned about M.2 SSD and NVMe

Some articles about SSD’s:

One thing I learned is that M.2 SSD IS NOT eMMC. I’ve somehow fooled myself into thinking that M.2 SSD is much slower than SATA-3 SSD, when in fact M.2 SSD can be faster than SATA-3 SSD, especially M.2 SSD with NVMe.

Meanwhile eMMC is the stuff you get when you got a soldered-on storage on older NetBooks or ChromeBooks; the ones with non-upgradeable storage. Don’t be fooled though eMMC is in fact faster than traditional metal-platter hard-drives, albeit only slightly. M.2 SSD though, that’s the s#*t right now.
